The Healthcare Industry Has Undergone Tremendous Changes In Technology And Services Since Bryan Wwhitfield Memorial Hospital First Opened Its Doors In 1953What Began As A 29 Bed Facility With 25 Employees And Only Four Patients Has Grown Into The Tombigbee Healthcare Authority Operating Whitfield Regional Hospitalmember Of Uab Health Systema Total Healthcare Delivery System That Includes A 99 Bed Hospital And Provides More Than 30 Healthcare Services For Our Communitythis Evolution Of Care Has Progressed To Include The Implementation Of A Hospitalist Program In 2018 And Most Recently To Become The First Hospital In The State To Be Part Of Uab S Tele Icu Program We Will Continue To Grow And Adapt To Meet Our Community S Current And Future Healthcare Needs While Providing A Safecompassionate Environment That Is Conducive To The Healing Process
